Course Overview
The curriculum is a four-year program that culminates in the award of a Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistantship Studies – Medical. The curriculum is meant to educate a vital group of professionals who are typically on the front lines of patient care and should ideally operate under the supervision of a trained physician. In both rural and urban environments, the PA works in primary care and specialized care roles. They also play a role in preventative medicine, as well as educational, scientific, and administrative endeavors. Graduates of the PA program are granted autonomy in the performance of clinical tasks within Ghana’s health-care delivery system by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council.
